The Denver Police Department uses the Bell 407GXi as a patrol platform supporting officers on the ground.
The aircraft is used to follow vehicles, establish perimeters, work with canine teams and search for heat signatures. The chief pilot highlights the aircraft's maneuverability, speed and ability to transition quickly between operating conditions.
Mission equipment includes a camera, light, MX-10 thermal imager and tracker beam, allowing the crew to locate vehicles and people before ground officers arrive.
